A continuing series of orchestral workshops at the Canterbury Steiner – several of our group have attended these in the past and have enjoyed them – as well as learning from them.
The next is on Saturday 10th May – the day before our concert. Cost is £20 to include lunch. See below for entry form:

If you weren’t at last Monday’s rehearsal you may not be aware that we
only have ONE rehearsal before our concert! The next 3 Mondays are school
hols so no rehearsal, then we meet April 28th. The following Monday, May
5th, is Spring Bank Holiday and the concert is Sunday May 11th. We may
possibly have a rehearsal on a different night that week; if so I will send
out an email to let you know. So KEEP PRACTISING.

We have been lucky enough to obtain the use of the Brake Hall at Ashford School for our May concert, together with the use of a Steinway piano – all at a price we can afford! Thank you Ashford School, and to Helen for negotiating this! Final details of time and programme after our next meeting on Monday 10th March.
The date for this is now set for Sunday May 11th, though the venue is yet to be decided. Beethoven, Haydn and Mozart are our composers, with the unusual departure of a concerto in the programme!
We would welcome any new members to our orchestra, but we have a particular need for violinists. We meet on Monday evenings at 7.30pm through to 9.00pm at Highworth School in Ashford. Please feel free to ring contact on the contacts list for more information.
